The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) would set up a heritage park at the premises of the Jagannath Ballav Mutt here at a cost of Rs 30 crore to Rs 40 crore.
SJTA Chief Administrator Suresh Mohapatra informed this after an SJTA meeting chaired by Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb here on Saturday.
The mutt would have parking space and the pond at its premises would be renovated. Flower plants and trees would be planted at the heritage park for flowers and timber that would be used for daily rituals of the deities of the Jagannath Temple, Mohapatra said.
A committee has been set up to finalise the designs of the project. Besides, the museum located in the temple premises would be reconstructed, and beautification of the Gundicha Temple, Atharanala and Musha stream would be carried out, he informed.
