Veteran Congress leader, SM Krishna will join the Bharatiya Janata Party tomorrow. The move of the ex-Congress leader was expected as he had resigned from all the posts held by him in the grand old party on January 29th itself, citing the grouse of the Congress old guard that they had been sidelined due to age. Krishna had resigned from the Congress and Congress Working Committee as well.
The 84-year-old first became a Member of Parliament (MP) in 1968 from Mandya. Krishna led the Congress to victory in Karnataka in 1999 and served as the chief minister till 2004.
